Iris Farrer

Iris Farrer

British Australian singer-songwriter, born in North London. Her musical influences are drawn from the likes of Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon. Only recently has she started writing and recording her own music after spending her teen years busking in Sydney, covering Tracy Chapman and Paul Kelly. Credit to her parents, she was raised on a diet of country and folk music. Nowadays, she fills her time listening to other inspirations; Bonny Light Horseman, Faces and Adrienne Lenker. Her songwriting is fuelled by herexperiences of young adulthood and heartbreak as she slowly tries to master the craft of songwriting and storytelling.

After her first release in 2024 of the wistful single ‘A Song That You’ll Like’, she is slowly building her profile as an artist, performing in venues across London and Bristol where she studies Music and Italian at university. To kick off the year, Iris self recorded and produced her first EP ‘Something Blue’ which she released in early January - an honest vignette of navigating life and love as a young woman through herindie folk style.
